We will be providing the client with strategic communication advice and helping them manage media relations.<br /><br />On May 30, 2011 the Polish operator PKP Intercity, in charge of long distance passenger transport, awarded Alstom a contract worth &euro;665 million to supply 20 high speed trains, their full maintenance up to 17 years and the construction of a new maintenance depot. The first trains are scheduled for delivery in 2014.<br /><br />Alstom Transport develops and markets the most complete range of systems, equipment and services in the railway sector. The title is traditionally conferred by Poland&rsquo;s business monthly magazine Home&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;Market on people in different industry sectors, who achieved spectacular success in managing their companies. At this year&rsquo;s gala in Warsaw, presidents and CEOs of Poland&rsquo;s biggest banks and enterprises, as well as a few mid-size firms, received the award certificates from the magazine&rsquo;s chief editor Rita Schulz.<br /><br />In a short speech, Ryszard Solski underlined that the award belonged to the agency&rsquo;s whole team which in 2009 worked hard to generate the growth of revenue by 150 per cent.<br /><br />2009 was the second year of Solski Burson-Marsteller&rsquo;s rapid growth. <description><![CDATA[Together with our client Amrest, we were honoured with this year&rsquo;s Golden Clip award for the best 2009 Product PR campaign.<br /><br />The award was given for our project 'Burger King awards Kamil Durczok for &bdquo;throwing meat&rdquo;'. Here, we used a well-known incident when in February 2009 Kamil Durczok, the host of the evening news programme, was caught using bad language (Polish idiom is 'throwing meat') in commenting on his untidy table in the studio. The incident was recorded and leaked out to the Web, and we immediately built on it rewarding Kamil with lifelong free invitation to dine and 'throw meat' in Burger King restaurants in Poland. The action was widely covered by the media and won admiration from many titles and Web users.<br /><br />The same project was one of three finalists in the 'Creativity' category.<br /><br />Golden Clip awards are announced annually at the PR congresses in Warsaw. This year&rsquo;s jury was composed of 40 PR professionals, and the competition was organised by the <a href="http://www.zfpr.pl">Polish Association of PR Consultancies</a>.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<span style="font-weight: bold;">Warsaw, November 21,2008 &ndash; Solski Burson-Marsteller was hired on retainer by Podbij.pl, Poland&rsquo;s innovative internet auction portal. </span><br style="font-weight: bold;" /><br />Podbij.pl (www.podbij.pl) offers auctioning goods in an innovative way. It was established by two Polish students of the University of York, Kamil Kuchta and Witold Kozlowski, with the first auction taking place on September 18. <br /><br />The auction system at Podbij.pl allows Web users to purchase interesting goods at attractive prices. Products are put to auction not by users but by the portal itself. All goods are brand new, unused,  and have a full warranty.<br /><br />The service has become an instant hit &ndash; currently it has 25,000 registered users. So far, almost 1,100 auctions have been held, with the value of the auctioned goods amounting to about 800,000 zloty (230,000 euro).<br /><br />Kamil Kuchta and Witold Kozlowski have returned to Poland, and while increasing the portal&rsquo;s functionality, they are planning to invest in new innovative projects. <br /><br />Solski Burson-Marsteller has been hired to provide the portal with strategic communication advice and management of media relations.<br />The contract will be in force till the end of 2009, and has an option for extension.]]></description>

<title><![CDATA[Two team heads appointed]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[Warsaw, June 8, 2008 &ndash; Jan Sto&#380;ek and Zofia Kurek were appointed heads of Solski Burson-Marsteller&rsquo;s two key teams, while Joanna Dunin-K&#281;plicz was appointed deputy head of one of the teams.<br /><br />Head of Technology Team Jan Sto&#380;ek has over 11 years of PR experience. In 1997-2008 he was employed by PR agency Sigma International, most recently as head of technology team. Among the clients he looked after were APC, Asus, BLStream, Cisco Systems, IFS, McAfee, Parkridge CE Retail, and Zebra Technologies. Before starting his PR career, for seven years Jan was a journalist at the Lupus publishing house who published computer and IT magazines.<br /><br />Head of Consumer Team Zofia Kurek has over 5 years of PR experience. Earlier Zofia worked at Sigma International, most recently as head of consumer team. Among the clients she looked after were Eden Springs, Indesit and Procter &amp; Gamble. Earlier Zofia worked in two other PR agencies, looking after clients such as Baker McKenzie, Belgia Brewery, McDonald&rsquo;s, Microsoft Dynamics, Nivea, and WizzAir. Before that Zofia worked as a journalist and copywriter.<br /><br />Joanna Dunin-K&#281;plicz was appointed deputy head of Technology Team. Joanna has six year&rsquo;s PR experience. Before joining Solski Burson-Marsteller she worked at Sigma International, conducting PR activities for clients such as Cisco Systems, EMC and Crowley Data Poland. Earlier Joanna worked at another PR agency, with clients such as LG Electronics, Seagate, Adaptec, and Borland. Before that Joanna was employed at Compaq Computer&rsquo;s PR Department.<br />]]></description>

The award was given in category &ldquo;A person/team at a PR firm&rdquo;. PRoton awards were announced for the second time since 2007. They are presented to communication professionals for setting our standards in Poland&rsquo;s PR industry. <br /><br />The awards are given away by PR Experts Academy, a 170-strong body consisting of PR professionals, theoreticians, and educators. It is organized annually by the PRoto internet portal, popular among Poland&rsquo;s PR professionals.<br />]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Warsaw, 22 April, 2008 &ndash; Burson-Marsteller, a leading global public relations and public affairs company, today announced an exclusive affiliate partnership with Solski PR and the creation of Solski Burson-Marsteller. This marks the return of the Burson-Marsteller brand to Poland after seven years.<br /><br />&ldquo;Re-entering Poland is an important strategic move for Burson-Marsteller.
